PERFORMANCE TESTING

 Physical protection systems are defined as activities designed to enusre protection system elements:

• Are operational;
• Are Properly Calibrated;
• Are Effective in Meeting Protection Objectives

Operational tests are designed to ensure the individual system elements are functioning. Calibration tests ensure the physical protection system elements are functioning within design specifications. Effectiveness tests identify potential weaknesses in system design or implmentation.
